Frequently asked questions

When should you secure your wedding hair and makeup artist?

As soon as possible. We only take a limited number of weddings each year and only have space to accommodate a certain number of services every day. Some brides book their wedding hair and makeup artist right after they book their wedding venue. If it is something that is most important to you then booking your hair and makeup services should be done right away.

Is a run through necessary?

Short answer, not always. If it makes you feel more comfortable to know for sure our stylist can give you exactly what you want then a run through is important. If you are coming from out of town and can’t make it in for one before, rest assured our stylists will do a thorough consultation before and make sure you are getting your perfect bridal hair. I always suggest a run through for my brides that are wearing or having clip in extensions added.

How long will hair and makeup take on my wedding day?

We always book the bride for 45 minutes per service, so an hour and a half total for hair and makeup. Everyone else is 30 minutes per service, so one hour total for hair and makeup. Some stylists timing may vary. Alway refer to the timeline that is provided.

Should i/we do lashes or not?

Lash are our favorite thing. We think lashes make your photos better. If you don’t wear much makeu but want your eyes to pop then definitely add lashes. We usually have 2 different sizes in stock. Consult with your makeup artist on what size is best.

Should I come with dirty hair for my wedding hair service?

We know it used to be common to hear “dirty hair styles better.” That’s not always the case. We say come with 1 day dirty hair and you should be fine. You always know your hair best. If your hair gets dirty by the end of 1 day then definitely come with clean dry hair. If it takes a couple days to get “greasy” then wash it and dry it the night before to be safe.

How often should I get a haircut?

To maintain a perfect hairstyle it is recommended to get a haircut every 5-7 weeks. If you have long hair and wear your natural texture (you don’t use heat) then 8-10 weeks is sufficient.

How often should I wash my hair?

Everyones hair is different. For our girls with dryer hair that doesn’t get oily every 3-4 days is great. For our girls with finer more oily hair every other day is recommended with dry shampoo on the roots.

My extensions seem dry, what should I do?

OIL! You should put oil in your extensions at least 2 times a day. Our favorite oil is U Oil from Unite.
